Companies admit safety failings after ONR prosecution.

The Office for Nuclear Regulation, along with the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales, has today launched a new early regulatory engagement framework for interested parties to deploy nuclear reactor technology in Great Britain.

Our aim was to create a site with a modern, accessible and usable look and feel, that was able to simplify how visitors to the site find information. This follows our commitment to being open and transparent with all our stakeholders.

Alan Wylie, from ONR's Sellafield, Decommissioning, Fuel and Waste division, recently joined more than 3,300 nuclear professionals at the Phoenix Waste Management Symposium, one of the world’s premier radioactive waste management conferences.

The annual conference brings together thousands of participants from across the globe to discuss a broad range of topics in the fields of nuclear safety security and safeguards.

We showcased the results of key work at the world’s largest annual conference for nuclear regulation, exploring how regulators and licence holders influence each other’s leadership and safety culture.
