All relevant information in relation to a geological disposal facility (GDF) and the disposal of radioactive waste in a GDF is publicly available on the Geological disposal page of our website.

Further information
Nuclear Waste Services (NWS) is the organisation that will develop and operate a GDF. The NWS website includes much information on its plans for GDF, the types of waste packages that will be used and how it gains assurance that waste packages are safe for disposal.
NWS (formerly known as Radioactive Waste Management Ltd) has also made available a range of scientific and technical information relating to geological disposal through the national archive at the following weblinks GDF Bibliography (2007 to 2021) and Geological Disposal – Bibliography Summary 1983-2007.
