ONR-RD-POL-003 - Strategic Prioritisation Regulatory Intelligence Tool (SPRINT) Policy

We have created the Strategic Prioritisation Regulatory Intelligence Tool (SPRINT) to inform our regulatory resource decisions. SPRINT is a multifactorial framework that presents comparative ranking for our regulatory activities. It is based on other UK Government multifactorial frameworks and our corporate strategy.

This policy states how we will use SPRINT to prioritise regulatory activities and resource. It applies to our Regulatory Leadership Team’s (RLT) decisions on:

• Prioritising regulatory activities;
• Aligning regulatory resource to regulatory priorities;
• Redeploying regulatory resources from one activity to another; and
• Targeting governance and oversight of resource allocation.
