Purpose of Intervention
This Licence Compliance Inspection was carried out as one of a series of planned inspections for the Hunterston A (HNA) decommissioning site during 2019/20.
Interventions Carried Out by ONR
I carried out a Themed Licence Compliance inspection on HNA’s Licence Condition (LC) 7, 12, 24, and 26 arrangements for control of operations and their implementation. In addition, I held on-site meetings that included a quarterly meeting with the HNA Safety Representatives, a waste projects update meeting and a review of the HNA Regulatory Schedule.

Key Findings, Inspector's Opinions and Reasons for Judgements Made
From the documentation sampled and the areas inspected, I judged that HNA’s arrangements made under LCs 7, 12, 24, and 26 for the control of operations and their implementation were adequate.
Conclusion of Intervention
No regulatory concerns were identified as a result of the inspection and future engagement will continue as detailed in the 2019/20 inspection plan.
