Executive summary
Purpose of Intervention
These inspections were both part of a series of planned Licence Condition (LC) compliance inspections of the Dungeness A Site for 2021/22.
The purpose of the planned inspection was to assess the implementation of the site’s LC11 Emergency Arrangements. An unplanned inspection was carried out to assess the site’s capability and capacity under LC36 – Organisational Capability.
Interventions Carried Out by ONR
I inspected the implementation of Magnox Limited’s emergency arrangements and the capability of its human resources to ensure the safe operation of the licensed site.

Key Findings, Inspector's Opinions and Reasons for Judgements Made
From the evidence examined I judged that the licensee’s implementation of its Emergency arrangements under LC11is adequate.
From the evidence examined I judged that the capability of the licensee’s human resources is adequate to ensure the safe operation of the licensed site.
I provided feedback to the site on the inspection findings at a close-out meeting with management representatives.
Conclusion of Intervention
I am satisfied that the licensee has implemented adequate arrangements for dealing with any accident or emergency arising on site.
I am also satisfied that the licensee has implemented adequate arrangements to ensure its organisational capability to safely operate the site.
