Aim of inspection

The purpose of the inspection was to review compliance of the dutyholder’s arrangements for class 7 radioactive material for road transport, covering consignor duties.

Key findings, inspector's opinions and reasons for judgement made

The inspector identified a number of examples of the dutyholder meeting relevant good practice in reducing risk to levels that are ALARP, including Local Rules, Radiation Awareness Training, Security and Transport Documentation.

Conclusion

The inspector identified three non-compliances and discussed these during the inspection, relating to Radiation Risk Assessments, Emergency/Contingency plans and Management Arrangements.

These non-compliances should be rectified by the dutyholder by the 24th April 2023.
