Key findings, inspector's opinions and reasons for judgement made
The inspector identified through questioning of the duty holder, and examination of paperwork that the Trust uses class 7 dangerous goods and is a consignee i.e. recipient of those goods, but has no other responsibilities under Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Pressure Equipment Regulations 2009 (CDG). As a consignee, they were able to demonstrate appropriate mechanisms for receipt of such goods.
Conclusion
I am of the opinion that this part of the Trust currently has effective processes and procedures in place to manage the receipt of class seven dangerous goods. I also believe that they have processes in place for managing incidents where they have a legal responsibility regarding transport.
I am of the opinion that this Trust presents a low risk for transport activities, and unless circumstances change or there is an incident do not require a compliance inspection for five years.
