Notice of Application for: Nuclear Reactors (Environmental Impact Assessment for Decommissioning) Regulations 1999
An application and Environmental Statement has been submitted by EDF Energy Nuclear Generation Limited to the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) in accordance with the Nuclear Reactors (Environmental Impact Assessment for Decommissioning) Regulations 1999. This is submitted with the intention that it provides relevant information to ONR to enable the granting of consent to carry out the dismantling and decommissioning of the Hunterston B Nuclear Power Station.
The application was made by the current HNB Nuclear Site Licence Licensee EDF Energy Nuclear Generation Limited, Javelin House, Building 1420, Charlton Court, Gloucester Business Park, Gloucester, England, GL3 4AE. The application was submitted on Friday 1st December 2023.
The address of the proposed project is: Hunterston B Nuclear Power Station, West Kilbride, Ayrshire, KA23 9QX.
The Environmental Statement and other submission documents will be available for inspection at West Kilbride Library, Halfway Street, West Kilbride KA23 9EQ from the 6th December 2023 until the 28th March 2024. West Kilbride Library will be closed from the 19th December 2023 and will reopen on the 4th of January 2024. Outside of this period, regular opening hours of West Kilbride library are:
- Monday and Tuesday: 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm
- Thursday and Friday: 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm
- Saturday: 10am to 12pm
