Jean Llewellyn OBE has been reappointed as security non-executive director on the Office for Nuclear Regulation’s (ONR) Board until 30 September 2025.
Jean has extensive experience, knowledge and networks in the nuclear sector and is currently on the Board of the World Institute for Nuclear Security.
She was the founder and Chief Executive of the UK National Skills Academy for Nuclear for its first ten years and was actively involved in UK nuclear policy through her membership of the Government's Nuclear Industry Council and as Chair of the Nuclear Energy Skills Alliance.
Jean will continue in her role as Chair of ONR’s Security Committee and as a member of its Audit and Risk Assurance Committee.
This reappointment has been made by the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS). BEIS leads on civil nuclear policy.
