Today we have published our new Corporate Plan for 2021/22.
As well as outlining our ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Corporate Plan sets out our key priorities to protect the public by securing safe nuclear operations, and how we will achieve our vision to be a modern, transparent regulator delivering trusted outcomes.
Maintaining the delivery of our core regulatory functions, holding industry to account on behalf of the public will always be our overriding priority.
In line with our Strategy 2020-25 we’ll also focus this year on enhancing collaboration across our regulatory purposes, publishing our framework for transparency so our stakeholders can see how we’ll make our information more accessible and easier to understand, embedding our values to help us continue building a positive and inclusive culture for our people, and making the best use of our new IT infrastructure to enable new and more efficient ways of working across the organisation.
Mark Foy, ONR’s Chief Executive and Chief Nuclear Inspector, said: “We are pleased to publish our Corporate Plan for 2021/22 which sets out how we will deliver our mission to protect society by securing safe nuclear operations.
"While the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we all work, our commitment to worker and public safety is unwavering. We will continue to hold the industry to account, and seek assurance that dutyholders can maintain their operations safely and securely.”
