We are launching our 2022 annual Stakeholder Survey next week and will be inviting more than 1,350 stakeholders from over 175 organisations to share their views with us.
As the nuclear regulator, our mission is to protect society by securing safe nuclear operations. Critical to our success, is the continued support and commitment of our many different stakeholders.
Listening and understanding the views of our stakeholder community is essential in helping us to continue to regulate effectively and protect workers and the public. Our annual stakeholder survey is an important event in the calendar as we get to hear what our different stakeholders think of ONR.
These surveys give us valuable feedback every time and have helped shape what we do – from the priorities in our Strategy 2020-25, to our communications and how ONR works with those it regulates.
Katie Day, ONR Policy and Communications Director, said: “Our annual stakeholder survey is one of the most important methods we use to gather stakeholder feedback.
"Previous surveys have provided helpful insight and enabled us to enhance our areas of strength, as well as identify areas that may require further attention and improvement. That insight informed our Stakeholder Engagement Strategy 2020-25.
“As a result of survey feedback, we are now issuing more frequent editions of ONR News, after stakeholders told us that they would like to hear from us on a more regular basis.
“If you do receive an invitation to participate in the survey, I would encourage you to take the opportunity to complete the short anonymous online questionnaire and tell is what you think of ONR.”
This year’s survey will be conducted independently by the specialist research agency, Savanta ComRes, who will contact a sample of our stakeholders to seek feedback from them.
We’ll be inviting feedback from licensees, transport dutyholders, safeguards dutyholders, government departments, local councils, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), international regulators, technical consultants/contractors, supply chain organisations, academic bodies and professional institutes and trade bodies.
Once the overall analysis of the survey has been completed, a copy of the report will be published on our website, and the findings publicised in ONR News.
If you would like to know more about previous survey results, please see the reports on our website.
