Emerging cyber security and information assurance threats and risks for the civil nuclear sector

A new paper co-authored by our Cyber Security and Information Assurance team and industry-leading specialists Dragos explores cyber security risks that could emerge over the next three years and what our dutyholders can do to prepare.

Dragos are a global leader specialising in the cyber security of industrial systems. They work closely with governments across the world to defend critical national infrastructure and provide cyber response capability.

The paper consists of two parts: an executive summary slide deck targeted at senior leadership (who have ultimate responsibility for managing the cyber risk), and a more detailed white paper exploring each of the anticipated emerging risks in more detail to help technical specialists deepen their understanding and consider risk management options.

This new paper supports the regulatory commitments made in the 2022-26 civil nuclear cyber security strategy. We have worked to make the guidance clear and engaging, demonstrating our enabling approach to regulation as well as our commitment to innovative solutions.
